Sky User Acquires freedom2support
Hello everyone,
The Sky User Team are happy to inform you that Sky User have now acquired the freedom2support.net and tiscaliuser.net communities.
Founded in 2002, freedom2support.net was established as a community dedicated to unofficial help and support for Freedom To Surf customers.
As Sky User is an unofficial help and support website, for customers of Sky / bSkyb, we felt that we were in a unique position, whereby we could fund, support and develop the freedom2support.net and tiscaliuser.net websites, integrating them into our portfolio of sites.
freedom2support.net and tiscaliuser.net have now been officially moved to our servers and our new CMS and forums will be fully operationally shortly. We have taken the decision to purge the previous database of Tiscali User and then merge the Freedom2support database into the new look Tiscali User website.
As the future for Tiscali is unknown, we aim to put in place a website whereby Tiscali Customers can come to find out any news, as well as obtain unofficial help and support from our members.
We also understand that Tiscali is soon to be sold, there are, amongst others, bids from bSkyb and CPW on the table. We already own the SkyUser.co.uk and TalkTalkUser.co.uk domains, therefore we are in an ideal situation to adjust our strategy to suit, if and when required.
All the old user accounts from freedom2support.net have been preserved, as well as the old threads and posts. We will be working on the layout and functionality as a priority over the next few days.
The existing team at freedom2support.net and tiscaliuser.net have been maintained, although their positions have been slightly re-organised. We are pleased to present our new team for Tiscali User as follows:
Justin Johnson, the previous owner, has already expressed his interest in remaining an active participant on the site and is now a member of the admin team for Tiscali User.
Adam - aos101
Rachel - akita_inu
John - John
Chaz - Chaz
Dave - dholdi
If you are not already a member from freedom2support.net or tiscaliuser.net, please feel free to join us.
Obviously, we fully understand that members from the old site, may wish to leave our new home, if you are one of them, please contact any of the Tiscali User Team, and we will delete your account asap
Over the coming months, we will be working with the freedom2support.net and tiscaliuser.net team to achieve exciting new things to better serve the members of our new community.
Regards,
Ged and Glenn
Sky User
