How long for domain name registration?

I ordered a new domain name from f2s on 16/11 (Friday). How long normally before the registration is completed?

A whois query says "Registration request being processed". Obviously Nominet aren't going to complete the registration until they rcv payment from f2s.

The email I rxd from f2s said an invoice would be generated in my members area the next day, but there is still no new invoice or statement. The domain appears in my members area, and also in the next billing dates section with a due date of 2007-11-07. The payment method was direct debit (it didn't give me the option of credit card). According to my online banking no payment has yet been taken. Would a seperate DD normally be set up, or would it be taken from the existing DD for my broadband?

Should I be concerned yet or not?

TIA

That's normal for a whois of the domain to say the reigstration is still being processed. When I've registered .uk domains before with F2S or other registrars it normally says that for a few days or more (I think I was surpirsed it stayed saying that for so long as well), but the domain still worked which was the main thing.

I don't think you should be concerned yet. Just give it a bit of time and it'll probably sort itself out.

OK many thanks Adam.

I've set the web redirect to point to my webspace so I'll check back tomorrow to see if the domain name is working or not yet.
