Database Problems

I am having some issues with my f2s database. Some of the queries that are being executed are displaying data that does not appear in the corresponding table. There are no problems with the query and I have made sure the correct query is being executed to do what it should but the data that appears on the page does not exist in the database. Also I thought the database server had changed to just db-f2s?

How come I can still log in to phpMyAdmin with the server as db.mydaomin.f2s.com and not db-f2s?

I think you might have made the same mistake I did. Are you still logging in at database.freedom2surf.net to see what is in your database? If you've been moved to the new platform, the phpmyadmin install to access your database is now at phpmyadmin.freedom2surf.net (and the link in your members area should now point there).

You can still login to phpmyadmin at database.freedom2surf.net, but it will connect to the old database server instead of the one the new platform uses.

Thank's aos101! That's solved the problem.

I have heard nothing from freedom2urf about the change of address for php my admin and because I know it I never bother accessing it from the members are.

There is still one thing I can't understand - some of the data that was submitted appeared in the new & old database and queried data from the old and new databases!

Anyone at freedom2 surf - why haven't you switched off the old servers & why is the new phpMyAdmin not using SSL like the old one?

This did catch me out too, so I think F2S should have mentioned in the email they sent people about the migration that the address for phpmyadmin has changed. The old servers are still up because they are moving sites over gradually, so some sites are still on the old servers.
