Hi
Here's an interesting one. I have moved my web hosting to another company although still via f2s. I now have a new web site at http://www.hayne.biz however if I go to http://hayne.biz (i.e. without the www) I get the old web site. This gives me two problems: If people type in the wrong url they get the old site And the comments page will not forward comments to me (so I'm told by the new web site designers Anybody know how to fix this? I suppose I would need to set up a re-direction from hayne.biz to www.hayne.biz? Thanks Neil |

This is a problem with your DNS setup. www.hayne.biz resolves to 89.234.7.43 (your new web host), whereas hayne.biz resolves to 194.106.33.39 which is a Freedom2Surf webserver. You need to change the DNS setup in the F2S members area so hayne.biz points to 89.234.7.43.
Edit: Who changed the DNS settings for you originally in the Freedom2Surf members area so your website points at the new website? It's probably best to get them to make the change unless you know what you are doing.

Thanks for the prompt reply. It was me who changed the DNS settings so I have changed hayne.biz to the same IP as www.hayne.biz. What is webalizer.hayne.biz? DO I need to make any changes to that IP address as well? Regards Neil |

Ah good. That change should then update on the F2S DNS servers tomorrow morning, and then it could take anything up to another 24 hours until it points at the new site for everyone (because of DNS caching).
The webalizer subdomain points at a F2S FTP server so you could download the raw Apache logs for your site on the F2S webserver. If you aren't using the F2S webhosting for that site anymore you can safely delete it, or just leave it there.
