Help - domain name problems!

Being very technically challenged, I am currently having a coronary as my domain has stopped working AGAIN!

Can anyone tell me, is this to do with this database server issue? My domain name hunkydoryhome.com redirects to my (far more reliable) .co.uk address, but since around 7am this morning it hasn't been working and I'm panicking.

I either get the message:
'Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page '
or
'This page cannot be displayed blah blah blah'

I have paid in June for the domain, so I know that's not the problem.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Moved from Webspace to Domain Names forum

I think this could be related, but I'm not sure. Drop Helen_f2s a PM to see what she says.

OK been looking at this again, and I don't think I can solve it but can tell you that you are definately not alone. I wondered if it was just you with the problem so checked the domain names in this and this thread which both use redirections on the redirections server, and they also are not working. I then used this site (use BugMeNot for site login) to find other domain names which point to the redirections server and it lists 1,080 other domains on the server (probably not all of them). If you login to that site and view the list, none of the sites work either, presumably because the redirections webserver is broken and not doing the correct redirections. So at least 1,080 other domains are also down hunkydory - you are not alone...

I'm guessing this could be another casuality of the database problems (since it happened about the same time), and also like the FTP (now fixed) has been down for over 24 hours without a fix or statement saying they know it is broken. Assuming this was caused by the database problems, why didn't they check the service was working after they brought the database back up?

Its just one thing after another...

Thanks for that Adam, it is some consolation to know I'm not alone, no change yet, I will wait until tomorrow before giving them hell!
At least I have the .co.uk working ok!

Redirects are still broken - that is 3 days now. There seems to be no acknowledgement from f2s that they even know about it.

Has it been reported via a ticket? It might speed things up.

I emailed Sales yesterday hoping they might actually read it then. I've also sent an email just now to Andrewr_f2s.

I got a reply from Andrew saying he would raise it with 3rd line at 3:06pm and I've just checked now and the domains seem to be working again.

I'm guessing this went down because of the database issues and didn't start working again after it was fixed? I'm amazed this service went down for days and F2S didn't notice. Can someone at F2S please write a little script to check the Location header returned from the redirections server, so in future if it isn't working they are actually aware of it rather than oblivious to it?

If this service does rely on the database that went down, why did no one check the service started working again after the database was fixed?
