Hi all
iam wondering if i can host a cgi proxy on my webspace that comes with my f2s account? this is what i want my website to do http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy/ thanks in advance

Its probably technically possible to host a CGI proxy, but whether F2S are happy with you doing that I don't know. Best to contact F2S and see what they say first.

well...the proxy is just for private use so there shouldnt be any bandwidth problems as it wont be used 24 hours a day.
Other than that i don't see any problems with hosting a proxy. |

Looking at their terms and conditions it appears that you are ok to run a proxy...
http://www.freedom2surf.net/domains/terms/ Although point 2.c) Freedom To Surf reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Freedom To Surf services for any reason. Although in all honesty it wouldn't hold up in court, as it's an unfair term. But who would take them to court over hosting, I know I wouldn't. As long as it is authenticated and doesn't impact on bandwidth, then it is not going against their terms and conditions. |

Since it seems to be ok to set up a proxy, anyone know how to do it?
