Web Redirect
Hi Folks
I am new to forums but i will give this a try. I have purchased a domain name for F2s and have redirected that to my freespace no problem there. What i would like to do is keep the domain name ive bought in the title bar not the F2s 1 i.e www.perfect-photographer.co.uk changes to www.andrewboyle.f2s.com is there anyway i can stop this without payin for webspace Regards Andrew |

Looking at your domain the DNS for it seems to be in a mess. Have you created a CNAME record for your domain to point it to andrewboyle.f2s.com? If you have you should remove it, as having a CNAME to andrewboyle.f2s.com won't work. Also I see on your website you have an email address listed, but I don't think that will work if you try it.
On the original question, I think you'll need framed forwarding (which would mean the address in the address bar wouldn't change depending on which page you are viewing e.g. to www.perfect-photographer.co.uk/index.html), but I don't think F2S offer this (although I could be wrong). Edit: Actually it seems your email will work now.

As Adam says, I don’t think F2S provide “Framed Forwarding” (but I could be wrong too
). You might have to look to host your chosen Domain name with a provider such as 123-reg or 1and1 or simply (as three suggestions, there are many others), who specifically provide this type of framed re-direct (along with other forms as well of course). If you have actual web space, the HTML code to redirect in a frame (so keeping the original URL in the title bar) would be something like this:- <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0; URL=http:// www.andrewboyle.f2s.com"> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0"> <meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document"> <title>Home Page</title> </head> <body> </body> </html> Andrew
