Question Domain names, ADSL and emails

If I order a domain name as well as an ADSL service from F2S, why is it that I would need an additional email hosting service to be able to use that domain name for my email!? Why can't we just use our domain for our ADSL mail accounts instead of having to buy yet more services?

You dont have to purchase any email hosting service if u dont want to. As long as you have the necessary hardware/software to host your own mail server, you'll be fine. Come to think of it, you dont even have to use f2s to host your website.

I did think of this, and i may look into this route, but it seems silly that i would get 20 email addresses that i wont use becuase i cant use the domain i registered with the same company.

Well you could transfer your domain to a registrar who gives you free email forwarding with domain names (I know 1and1 and 123-Reg and others offer this), and then forward mail to your domain to your email accounts you get free with your ADSL.
