Toucan ftp server down

Is this the place to ask about the Toucan ftp server: ftp.toucansurf.com which appears to be down. I cannot connect to it, and all my websites hosted on it are unavailable.

Unfortunately, it is not the correct place... If this is a product that Tiscali residential offers, then you need to call Tiscali support on 0871 222 3311 and I am sure they will be able to help you.

I'll try to find more info about this when I get back to the office tomorrow but, to be honest, I doubt that I will be able to help you..

May be if you PM me the link to a couple of your websites and your adsl number I'll be able to nudge someone for you or at least give you a better way to report any issues... no promises though

I have the same problems with my web site hosted by toucan surf now redirecting to Tiscali's home page. If anyone has any info on how to resolve this please post here. Thanks.

My root web address is: www.dmann.toucansurf.com

Every page on the site redirects to the Tiscali home page: Tiscali UK Information, entertainment, broadband, email and internet access

When I try to log into the ftp server: ftp.toucansurf.com,
it fails with the message: Can't establish connection --> ftp.toucansurf.com:21

I don't know what you mean by ADSL number - please explain.

That redirection address should have read: www.tiscali.co.uk

Hi David,

The ADSL number is the telephone number where your broadband connection has been installed.

I had a look for you and I am afraid that I gave you the wrong telephone number to call... I found the link Migration from Toucan to Pipex uk advising that all existing toucan customers were moved to Pipex on the second week in February... so you should really call 08712225550. I know that you said that you contacted their support via their website but I really would recommend giving them a call...
