Website downtime : Saturday 18th November 11pm - 5am

The Freedom2Support website will be offline for a maximum of 2 hours on Saturday 18th November between 11pm and 5am because our hosts are moving their UK based servers to a new datacenter facility.

Downtime should really only be about 10-15 minutes as the new datacenter is only about a mile away from the current location.

Ouch, how annoying of them. Do you know whether the IP allocation will change as I'll need to update my hostsfile if so.

Don't think so Chaz. They don't mention anything about it in their forum post:

http://www.unitedforums.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=9503

I would expect them to mention if they were doing that.

Yeah, they won't be changing IP's since the bandwidth provision is still coming via TelecityRedbus and just being redirected across the street from what I can see.

I'm not sure how viable that approach is, but they look to know what they are talking about, so I think it'll go fine.

They shouldn't need to change IP's anyway as their IP's will be directly assigned by RIPE.

Do you know where they are moving to Adam?

Just being nosey

Mmm, I wasn't bored enough to check a whois on the IP range just incase it was being fed to someone else and they were reselling like. IP Allocation isn't my strong point though

I don't know no. I've just seen the posting on the forum - I wouldn't get an email or anything about it since the hosting account isn't in my name.
