I see you have got a very good forum set up here,

I use the free version, for a local interest for where i live, is it worth paying the extra for the version you have here, i know you can remove the powered by invision board, is there other advantages to this paid for version.

Hiya,

This is actually the free version, I have an advanced support account over at InvisionPower.com, but I haven't paid the $99 or whatever it is for the full license, basically the only difference between the free and paid is that you can take the powered by bit out and all the copyrights.

So Basically it's not worth it unless your running a very professional site that you don't want to have a powered by bit at the bottom. Thanks for your comments about this one though, I appreciate it

Cheers

I didnt realise that, i thought on the free version you had to keep the powered by invision bit at the top.

that then brings me to another question which is a bit off topic for this forum i realise, but maybe you can help. how did you get the freedom2support header in,

i tried to put my own header in once but it was unsuccessful.

Hiya,

You don't actually have to have the powered by bit on the top, thats just there by default, it can be removed, as can the logo, which is in perfectly acceptable terms of the license.

To change the logo, I just replaced the http://www.freedom2support.net/style_images/1/logo.jpg default logo with my own one, the actual freedom2support site is based on the default skin of Invision Board, so it makes things look pretty consistant.
