New Site Set for Early Launch

Due to the fact that I myself may not be around from 15th-19th May I have decided to bring forward the launch of the eagerly awaited Freedom2Support 4.0 to the week starting 10th May.

We have no specific day of during that week when it will launch, but it will be as soon as we feel it is ready go live, it could be Monday, it could be Friday.

Due to this the bug testing period on the new site will be cut short by a few days in order to get everything rolled out in time. Whilst we feel we will have most bugs fixed by this time in the new site, we cannot promise that some may not creep through to the final site.

We also are aware of a few small rendering problems in Mozilla Firebird and Opera browsers. None of these are huge bugs which will stop you viewing the site, and are mostly related to line spacing, something which we will fix soon in 4.01 which I dare say will launch pretty soon after the inital version does.

When the new site launches you will notice some pages will have moved around and the layout may have changed a little bit. While the changes we have made may cause pain in the short term, in the medium term we think you'll agree that they benefit the site a huge ammount.

We would also like you to throw as much cricticism, feedback and praise about the new site as you possibly can. We've spent the last 6 months developing this site by listening to our users, but we don't expect to get everything right first time, only with your feedback can we improve our website to the next level.

Nearer the time of the launch more details will be provided and it's likely the site may suffer a few hours downtime when the upgrade goes ahead, more details will be provided when avaliable.
