f2s Customer Letter

This email is being sent out to freedom2surf customers today...

__________________________________________________ ______

Dear Customer

It’s been a busy time at freedom2surf since Tiscali acquired us on 13 September and we know you may have questions about what it means to you.

We would like to take the opportunity to reassure you that as a freedom2surf customer this means no change to the services and support you receive at present. In fact Tiscali are proposing to include the Stoke Mandeville Support Centre in their plans for supporting all of freedom2surf’s customers

Going forward our focus will remain on providing business-strength broadband and communications services to our discerning consumers and small and medium sized business customers, as well as to our reseller partners. We will continue to offer the same high quality customer support that you have been accustomed to.

We’re delighted at the enthusiasm and encouragement we have received from Tiscali. Being part of Tiscali is great news for freedom2surf. With over 1.9 million broadband customers and an unbundled local loop ("LLU") network covering over 800 BT exchanges, with another 200 in the pipeline, we have access to additional infrastructure and expertise to help us expand and improve our services. In addition, Tiscali’s range of internet and entertainment services for the consumer market, offer us the opportunity to look at further developing the service we can offer you in future.

As we enter this exciting next phase, I would like to thank you for your support over the last 10 years and assure you that we will continue to keep you updated on any developments.

Kind regards

Jim Kirkby
Business Unit Director

Nice letter, almost made me want to stay, which is obviously the intention.

It's still Tiscali though, whichever way you spin it.

It would go over my head personally, we've heard this kind of things many times before when takeovers happen. Look at what Pipex said when they bought f2s and compare it with exactly what happened etc.

I still got the email because I'm still on the mailing list even though I'm not a customer anymore, but I won't unsubscribe because it's handy keeping up to date with any important F2S news direct into my inbox.

It's great news about the customer service being kept the same for F2S customers.

There are bigger things yet to see happen such as packages/prices and the move to the Tiscali network.

The future is still uncertain, but at least I know where I stand where customer support is concerned if I ever decide to come back as an F2S customer.

well i missed all this news when it happened. Just heard today, tomorow I will ring them for a migration code, if it's anything like last time I was with them (Tiscali) it could take a while to get one.

It took me less than a minute to be sent mine the other night. Turns out I won't be using it though.

chaz you have obviously never been a tiscali customer before. I got my migratrion code this morning and used it. Wait until you have had the Tiscali experience, something like the Ikea experience, you will be screaming for the likes of F2S again

I think that's a serious insult to Ikea!
