Web2 Webserver Offline

A user noticed on our forums that one of the Linux hosting servers (web2.freedom2surf.net, 194.106.33.35) went offline earlier this evening. This server hosts both purchased domains and username.f2s.com webspace and has been having long outages on and off for months now.

Currently the Freedom2Surf system status website lists no problems with the webspace service.

This outage is being discussed in our Webspace forum.

Update 11:22pm: The server now seems to be back online and serving up pages. It appears the server was rebooted 22 minutes ago. The Freedom2Surf system status website still makes no mention of this outage which lasted over 5 hours.

Update 6:50pm 8th April: A user on our forums noticed the server offline again this afternoon. Currently nearly all requests to the server timeout, but a page does occasionally load. The Freedom2Surf system status website makes no mention of this outage, which is the second time this server has gone off this weekend.

Update 7:36pm 8th April: It appears the server was rebooted 18 minutes ago, and it is serving up pages again.
