Email Server Outage Update

Nicholas Panayis of Freedom2Surf has made the following announcement over at ADSLGuide :

Hi,

Currently one of our Email Servers is down due to hardware failure. We are in the process of restoring from backup and should have this server up and running at about 5pm today.

Anyone else have anymore news on the e-mail server ? As I still can't send\recieve e-mails...

Estimated time of fix was 5pm its now 6.12pm

Sending is not effected by this outage, only recieving to an @username.f2s.com address is...

i need to know what the latest situation is I have received no emails all day.
I am username@f2s.com. I've sent email out and only trust that these have been received, I cannot conduct my affairs in this manner.

Can you give a broad time scale when I shall begin to receive today's emails?

I can't, No, I'm sorry.

We are not Freedom2Surf, we are just a user ran support website, none of us work for Freedom2Surf. If we know anything, we will tell you it, we do this purely on a voluentary basis, and can't give you any gurantees about when the service will be fixed.

All email sent out to accounts other than @username.f2s.com will get through, the only people who are effected by this outage are people who are trying to recieve email on @username.f2s.com accounts, if you are having problems with @f2s.com accounts, I suggest that the problem lies somewhere else other than Freedom2Surf's end, as no-one else has reported an error with these systems, and we have just tested this system, and it's working 100%.

I have my own registered domain name suffix which I use to send mail via Freedom 2 Surf... This was also affected in the e-mail outage.
