Are we to assume that the initial teething troubles are now rectified, and that it is full steam ahead? Regards,

Hi Bob,
We're still working on some areas, but yes, things are moving along nicely at the moment and we're gathering a nice bit of momentum. We'll also have some news specifically for you soon.

Stephen, can I ask afew questions on the 8MBits trial.
Is the trial still going on? as the max speed I have got is 2.8Mbits. The upload is very high which tells me that im on the trial. Do the people on the trial need to regrade to 8Mbits? and will they have to pay the £15 regrade fee? Thanks in advance Shabbir

Regarding your other question, I have no idea at this stage. Hopefully not, but it's dependent on a few factors. |

Any idea when Rugby will be done? Coventry down the road was activated for the initial trial, I was gutted! I need a decent upload speed for Halo 2!!

Felsted
Do you know if all exchanges are to be updated.I am on the Felsted exchange with Both Chelsmford and Basildon (the 2 exchanges that border felsted) already been done.
Is the upgrade dependent on Exchange size as Felsted a quite a smaller exchange. Many Thanks |

There will most likely be a commercial and national release later on in the year (subject to BT Wholesale's trial successful).

Hi guys,
My first post on this forum… :D I regularly check f2s.com to see if any more exchanges have been added. I know it has only been a week and a few days since stephen_fs2 announced a few more exchanges on the list. But does anyone know if f2s are on schedule for the roll out of the 8Mbit at the end of the month or if there will be a slight delay etc etc. I was told when I signed up to f2s last month that the problem was a technical one and related to the bandwidth infrastructure between East.net's network and the F2S network. Obviously I don't know if this accurate or not. Any new information or thoughts anyone..? JJ |

You want a personal recommendation from an f2s employee?
![]() I think you're better off asking customers! To migrate now, you'd then be charged an upgrade fee of £15+VAT to move to the faster speeds once the exchange is ready. If you wait, you can have it all done in one go once the exchange is ready for free. I guess it all boils down to how badly you want to join f2s. |

Hey Stephen, since you're about can you tell me if I can expect my exchange Rugby to be upgraded in the near future? Aren't they supposed to be doing them all by the end of the year?

Rocky, hopefully. If not by Easynet, then fingers-crossed BT Wholesale will have a commerical release of 8Mb by the end of the year. It's partly dependent on how well their trial goes though.

i've decided to join up without waiting I will regrade when you offer the faster speeds but for now I cant even listen to my usual radio stations on plusnet and they seam to have little interest other than packing as many users into an already over crowded pipe as possable.
