Upgraded webservers - Customer testing.
Hi all, we have upgraded our webservers to a later version of PHP (4.3.10) due to security announcements made by the PHP team last month..
We would like to have a few customers test the new webservers with their own websites before moving all of the other customers over.. (Your website will still be held on the older webservers in case there are problems) If anyone would like to participate in this please can you send me a private message with your domain name and I will move you accross. Kind regards Adam Last edited by adamf2s; 12-01-2005 at 09:55 AM. Reason: typo |

When will this be rolled out to everyone? In days? Weeks? or Months?
I've got something that needs a newer version of PHP than 4.2.2 which is on some slow free webspace at the moment, i'd prefer it to be on my f2s space though, since f2s space seems very fast .... i can ftp to it at several megabits a sec when at uni. i don't think its exactly the type of thing you will want in a test programe though! |

F2S Space is very fast. Always reliable, the thing that stops me using it though is only 5MB for extra database space and the additional option is £72+VAT for 45MB which is far far too much.

Did I say that we wanted to be hosted by freedom2surf? No, The whole reason we are here is to help freedom2surf users, it's no good if something goes down on f2s and cos we're hosted by them the same thing happens. For sites such as this an independent server is better.
Not that I'm saying freedom2surf servers are unreliable, thats not the case at all, they are solid and dependable, but I just feel it's best for us to be hosted by a third party in the case of outages. If you have any site that is any kind of decent size with your average used forum, the database space fills up very quickly and the price is somewhat over the top for extra space to be paid in one go. Intermediate price/space levels or a reduction would certainly help.
