An ex-customer of the once renowned ISP Freedom2surf received earlier this month a copyright infringement notice from Tiscali demanding he contact the ISP before they disconnected him for downloading a TV Episode via Bit Torrent.
The irony is that he left the ISP some 5 months earlier and that it was most likely his previous IP address had been re-assigned to a new customer but that important records had not been updated. The accused has taken his story to TheRegister who have written an article available here which makes for interesting reading. - We're talking about it on our Forums here.
