Trying to connect Linksys X2000 to TalkTalk

I bought a Linksys X2000 ASDL2+ modem router for my PC at the weekend. My daughter was screaming at me that I did not have wireless connectivity.

I have been running with Homecall>Pipex>Tiscalli and now TalkTalk takeover/migrations for past 6 years and generally have had no hassles. I have been trying to configure this router modem to work with my Pipex TalkTalk broadband ISP. However although the Lynksys is recognised as a brand, the modem is not supported.

I have been using the old Thomson 330 Speedtouch USB modem and everything works OK on that. When I install the Cisco software to set up this ASDL2+ modem router I end up in internet connection limboland. The LAN sets up OK but can I get this thing to TalkTalk to TalkTalk? TalkTalk FAQ's send me round in circles. Wireless seems to be there but nothing will connect to it.

My username is a *_home@dslconnect.co.uk variety, talktalk ones are "phonenumber"@talktalk.net (not sure if that has anything to do with it). Someone asked me is the service by Pipex TalkTalk Annexe A or Annexe B... Does anyone out there know? This modem will not operate on Annexe B apparently.

If anyone has any expereince in setting up this modem router to work on Pipex Talk Talk please get back to me! Help!
