Dial-up problem

Dear All

My very elderly father uses f2s dial-up, and is most frustrated that it won't work! There is absolutely no chance of him being able to fix it himself (and frankly, only slightly more of me being any help either!)

Everytime he tries to go online he just gets an engaged tone.

Is this a problem with his pc or is it something happening at f2s?

Have checked that everything is still plugged in correctly, and his machine hasn't been moved for months so nothing can have come adrift.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions please.

Hi there,

It's probably f2s' side if its throwing an engaged tone.

Have him make some small changes to move him from the f2s service to uk2 assuming he's on a PAYG package.

Change the number to 0845 665 3000
Set the username AND password to uk2 (I'm not sure if this is needed anymore...)

Easier than bothering with f2s to be honest....
