access database

I've recently activated a new database for a blog I've started to experiment with. I wanted to clear my database and went into my members area and from there selected Database Tool which took me into phpmyadmin.freedom2surf.net - but the amount of time I had to wait first for my connection between my members page and the log in page for the database and then the amount of time it took to display the database is out of this world.

I've had more than ample time to compose, write and check the post and still the page hasn't move from log in to displaying the database.

Is this normal? If not how can I speed things up?

Kate

Hi Kate,

Sounds like it was under stress (probably running a backup around 1am) but it seems OK now.

Try again?

No, this is not normal. It may have been experiencing an extreme slowdown at the time you were trying to access it, so try again later.
