accessing newsgroups

Hi all
apologies if this has been asked before, but I read the blurb regarding this issue from F2S ,, so I have entered the ADSL log on username and password details as told into Vista / Windows Mail newsgroups but it just keeps asking for the same info and that is as far as it gets, so what am I doing wrong ? .

Kind Regards
Alan

I think it needs the username in capitals, its been a while since I've looked at the newsgroups.

Can you confirm the hostname, and whether your username has been tried with ADSL in uppercase?

Hi Chaz
Thanks for the response, yup tried upper case lower case and even extreme case ;-) but still get the confirmation window , this is the adsl number issued by F2S to input into the router plus the password which is a mixture of numbers and letters , talking to myself here

Regards Alan
