Lightbulb Iptv

So... f2s is getting all excited about IPTV but how about peering with the BBC and offering us a chance to take part in the BBC multicast technical trials. The BBC are still offering ISP's peering opportunity (http://support.bbc.co.uk/multicast/peering/).

I suppose it is dependant on the F2S architecture and how capable the routers are of IPv4 multicast and nice the switches are going to be with IGMP.

Any knowledgeable F2S person about to shed some light on this.

I'd hope the high end juniper erx's could handle it, but I don't know much about the infrastructure switches. I can't see why not to be honest.

mmm Junipers, in that case dependant on the image on the Junipers it is really easy to configure.

Can even have IPv6 by adding a few more lines of config (+ need the global address space, but thats not hard to get). Lets see F2S be the first to offer IPv4 + multicast and IPv6 (native). I'll let them off from IPv6 multicast for now as MLDv2 aware switches are not cheap and there are only a couple as far as I know (Cisco 3750s being one).
