Wi Fi use Abroad (Cyprus)
I've just got myself a notebook.
I'm going to Cyprus for a couple of months and was wondering how/if I can use the Wi Fi hotspots, if they exist there. I've read through the home page on F2S and it looks as if I can just login with my normal account details and get charged as PAYG but don't knowif this applied abroad. Any help much appreciated.

There will almost certainly be a number of locally run ‘hot spots’, mainly in café’s or hotel lobbies. Probably best to check-out the coverage, and buy a PAYG card once you’ve found a good source.
Coffee shops often offer open access, so check them out first. Andrew

Thanks for the quick replies.
Will have to tout the locals when I get there.

Hi,
As Justin said Cytanet are a good ISP in Cyprus. They have a dial-up PAYG service which was very reasonable. I set up some friends on the service via their landline but had no luck getting it to work with a iPAQ linked to a mobile. As for WI-Fi , I think I read that there were some hot-spots but these were mainly in Nicossia. Just found this site, which may explain further: http://www.jiwire.com/browse-hotspot-cyprus-cy.htm |
