Connect shared printer to wireless laptop.

Having a problem sharing a printer on a wireless laptop .A lot of the advice or instruction i have read don't work .

Setup is Home computer Vista Ultimate SP1 with Cannon printer installed and working off LTP port .
Laptop is Windows Vista Home premium .
Home computer connected to adsl wireless modem router via cable .
Laptop connected via wireless card to router .
Cannot find the printer on the main computer though sharing boxes are ticked also print drivers installed on laptop via wireless connection .
Tried with Firewalls turned off on both machines .
Any body help with a step by step guide please .

What you have done is the right sequence of steps, so should work.

Are both computers set with a "Home" network definition? Vista allows "Home", "Work" and "Public". If, by accident, you now have a "Public" definition on your laptop (or visa versa on the home PC, but most likely on laptop), that will have the effect of blocking file and printer sharing, even if the original set-up completed OK. This is done with the right intention, to stop anyone gaining access to your laptop while in a public place on an open WiFi connection, but can cause problems on private (i.e. home) networks.

Apart from that, nothing else springs to mind - sorry.
