Problems With BT Yahoo Thomson SpeedTouch 330 ADSL Modem

Hi all. My sister-in-law has just had her line activated for ADSL Max yesterday, 9th of March and I have been trying to get her on line. She has signed up for Cascade Start.

We have got all the info from f2s for setting up the modem (Username & Password), however, we are unable to connect. We get an error message saying "username/password not valid for this domain".

Now, I don't think for one minute that f2s has supplied us with the wrong info as that would be to easy!.

A few things that may be an issue:

1. Is it the fact that this modem is a BT Yahoo Thomson SpeedTouch 330 means that it is "locked-in" to that ISP, therefore cannot be used with f2s?

2. Even though the line has been activated yesterday, the system has not been set-up yet so that I can start using the service?

3. f2s has given me the wrong Username or Password?

I have a feeling that it could be the 1st issue. I used the BT Yahoo CD when installing the modem drivers, but it had "BT Openworld Brodband" on the connection Icon. I did however set up a new connection for f2s, but that did not seem to work.

The modem does activate and sync when I connect. It just stumbles on the Username/Password part.

Maybe I should update the drivers from the Thomson website and NOT use the BT Yahoo CD.

A solution would be appreciated.
