Question Usenet message headers - X-trace:

I can read the headers in a Usenet post without much trouble, but for some time now,
I've been curious about how to read/decode the "X-trace:..." header. Apparently you
can trace a message back to it's origin. I've thought it could be a handy thing to
know, in order to trace spammers, for example.
Has anyone any idea how to read/decode them, if so, how do you do it?
Or is there an application which will do it for you?
