Very Strange Email Account...I'm reading other people's emails.

This is non-f2s related.

So yeah, I have hosting from Site5 and own the site hostresource.ws and have another domain 1plc.com

I normally use Outlook to read my emails but recently I decided to take a look at them from some of the web-email interfaces which is provided by the hostresource.ws control panel. I was pretty shocked to find the inbox over-filled with emails to someone else that had previously used the domain '1plc.com'. All the emails are from 2004 and their addressed to anything with @1plc.com, but the names are various. So basically I have all the emails that the last domain owner of 1plc had? They're definitely personal as well.. in a business sort of way anyway, some of this stuff is revealing.

So why do I have access to all these emails? If I sell my 1plc.com domain will the next purchaser be able to read all the emails which have been sent to me??

Bit confused...

The answer is that any email addressed to 1plc.com will be visible to the current owner of the domain. How can the control panel distinguish betwen email meant for the previous owner or yourself?

The previous owner must not have told all his contacts, in sufficient time, that he had changed his email address.

This situation is neither the fault of the hosting company nor the registrar company.

And to answer your other question, the next purchaser will not have access to your current emails but any sent since you sell it will be for him to see ... IE, make sure your contacts know you've changed email address.

Maybe someone posted and deleted it, thus topping it.
