BT together callmobile

just been presented a special offer from BT in the post about having bt together callmobile for free for a minimal 12 month contract period and any further 12 month periods.

here though it states charges?
http://www.serviceview.bt.com/list/p...kImpl93224.htm

Quote:
At the end of the minimum period and any renewal period a charge, currently £1.50(inc VAT) per month or £4.50(inc VAT) for every three month period will apply for CallMobile. This charge is subject to change.
there is also a charge if you end the offer, which is clear.

Quote:
Customers ceasing service during the minimum period, and any renewal period will be asked to pay, as a single payment, a sum which is equal to the total of the standard BT Together Option charges the customer is on at the time of cancellation (currently £11.00 per month for BT Together Option 1, £14.45 per month for BT Together Option 2 or £18.95for BT Together Option 3) left in the minimum period and any subsequent renewal period.
so this has left me very confused.

callmobile is a way to save money off calls to mobiles compared to the usual higher rates charged by BT.

what is not clear is the fact this is presented as a free offer but talks about those charges

smells like a big rip off to me, anyone care to comment?

definitely, because at the top of that link it states "These customers will receive the CallMobile product free of charge for the duration of the 12 month minimum period and any subsequent 12 month renewal period."

then further down, which I quoted, it states those charges.

I can understand the termination charge, but not the fact that charges are listed for the actual service when it's supposed to be a free offer.

I think BT are being little devils.

I think that 'free' definitely applies to the first 12 months but exactly what happens after that is questionable and confusing. Maybe you could just call BT and ask for clarification?
