Help with navigation
I'm haveing trouble with the navigation of my site and hopeing someone here might be able to help.
OK here is my problem. I have a traditional looking site built in html – a header, left hand column and a footer. The main navigation bar across the top reads something like: HOME, NEWS, ARTICLES, and RESOURCES. The pages are built in Dreamweaver 8 using templates. My problem is that my NEWS section and my ARTICLES section are beginning to grow very rapidly. There is at least one, sometimes two and occasionally three news stories added daily. The ARTICLE section has new articles added at least once but more often twice a week. I have other navigation links down the left hand column leading me into other pages in that sub-directory. I operate on four links per page and up until now I’ve been doing all this work manually and hoping that I’m not overdoing some page links at the cost of others. Anyway I need to find a way to do this job automatically and organize these page links so that when I add an article to say my article section the links will automatically update and the newly added articles link will be easily distributed within my article sub-menu down the left column. The problem is I’ve no idea how I might do this. Can anyone advise? Kevin. feel free to email me at kevin at abcwritersnetwork.co.uk

Could you not store the article in a mySQL table and pull them off using PHP as and when required. This would cut out megga amounts of HTML bashing and also create you a nice archivable website.
