hi all
I used to vist a site but suddenly can't connect to it anymore (since yesterday) www.881903.com (It's a chinese online radio....) can any f2s users check it out for me? I've check it with another computer (not with f2s) and it works. So, the site is definitely up. now i'm just not sure is it the f2s' problem or the router's problem. my computer setting: mac: OS10.2 Win: WinXP Router: Conexant AMX-CA61E *already turned off the firewall, doesn't work on both computers. any idea? ***I've paid the money to subscribe its online radio. Really hope i can figure it out. ![]() Thanks in advance. |

It might be that the DNS entry has temporarily disappeared (happens sometimes). If you can get the IP for it from another computer, you may still be able to access it that way until the DNS wakes up.

Sorry about that - quick lesson about the internet - when you type in a url a special server called a DNS server (dynamic name system) finds out the real address that is associated with that name (i.e. the IP address). If for whatever reason the DNS server cant find that name in its records then it cant return the real address (i.e. it can't resolve it), then your browser doesn't know where it is so cant get to it! Think of it like an address book - you want to send a letter to Mr Smith so you look up his address in your address book then put the correct address on the envelope and send it. If you dont have the address you dont know where to send it.
F2S have noted the problem and have fixed it anyway - I can get to it fine now. |
