Hello all,

For the last couple of days i've been unable to connect to xbox live, it's been fine for the last year but now it simply won't connect.

The troubleshooter passes all the IP and DNS tests but then fails the connection part and suggests i check the MTU settings on my router. I've done that and double checked port forwarding etc. but nothing's changed on my setup.

I'm really hoping this is down to the "upgrades on the network", anyone else having an issue?

GW5 - 1/2 meg connection.

No issues here.

My xbox won't use live (custom linux bios etc..........) but I am still able to connect it to the net ... so I don't really know whats up mate :/

D'oh i'm an idiot, i had had the xbox unplugged for a week so the next time i used it i was prompted for date/time etc. but completely forgot i had a static address setup for the xbox but it was using dhcp which contains the wrong default gateway address.

Manually corrected and all sorted.
