Migrating to F2S on Monday - A quick question
Hi,
Have been reading this forum for the last few days, having taken the decision to migrate to F2S from Supanet . The migration is due to take place this Monday (20/12). On any time that day, do I just input the connection details sent by F2S to me earlier this week (e.g. login name, etc.) and will I be able to connect there and then, or do I have to wait for another email saying I can access the service? Thanks in advance. P.S. Great support site by the way, lots of useful info |

Quite often people find that they are activated early. I have an external router that I configured before activation and I just noticed the little "Internet" light had came on before my activation date. Unless F2S now email you, I can't remember getting one when I got activated.

On the day of your migration just try the new set of login credentials and see if you connect.

Both my migration and my two regradings must have occurred at unearthly hours cos as soon as I went online the connection was already made whether it be 6am or 9am.

A lot of adsl changes seen to happen in the early hours of the morning between 2 & 6... Cant really see a BT guy being there at them ungodly hours so i guess its all automated.

Tried at 8:45 a.m. this morning - no connection - tried 30 mins later - success !! Now on f2s with speeds on 1mb much quicker than Supanet !
Just one last question: I've migrated to the freedom2surf Connect package. Do f2s automatically upgrade you to 2mb connection (as I'm still connecting at 1mb) or do you have to apply for it? If the latter, do you do this from your member account page, as I can't see any reference to regrading? Might be because i just connected today? If they do automatically regrade you, how long does this normally take? Thank you in advance... Last edited by markie; 20-12-2004 at 08:40 AM. |

Hi,
If you migrate over to us on a Connect product since the 2Mb Connect product was launched we will automatically regrade you to the highest speed available on your line. This will normally happen around a week from when the migration completes.

Thanks you lot ! I'll give my connection a speed check in about a week or so to see if the speed has been upgraded. Thank you for the hasty responses...can't believe how much quicker the 1mb connection is on here compared to Supanet's 1mb speed !!
Have a happy xmas everyone.. |

It is most likely to be the 29th December if it passes due to the Bank Holidays over Christmas.
