MAC request
I requested a MAC on the 12th of this month, the gentleman at support asked where I intended moving to, told him BT. He told me it would all be handled from his end, but to date nothing has happened according to BT.
I thought the MAC would have been handed to myself, so what do I need to do now if anything? I want the code to come to me direct if that is possible, I may decide to stay or go elseware. Last edited by tarren; 17-03-2010 at 03:51 PM. |

Re: MAC request
hmmmmm, the gentleman from support is talking absolute tosh
, cant be handled from their end as they dont know what package you want or email address, passwords etc ![]() Your mac should be email to you within 5 days to one of your email accounts, normaly the one you set the account up with, if its not ring them and get it over the phone MacCode.org.uk - How to request mac code Hope your switch goes well

Re: MAC request
I've decided to stay, I've had no problems with f2s whosever wing they reside under. Thank you for your reply Ferret42, appreciated.
By the way, I mailed my request to f2s before speaking to support and was a bit surprised to get the following reply. "Your request for assistance cannot be accepted because this account has been disabled" What was that all about? Last edited by tarren; 18-03-2010 at 05:31 AM. |

Re: MAC request
Hi Tarren,
f2s support responses are not great these days, we have seen several instances where support talk absolute nonsense! Staying is entirely your shout but ferret42 is correct, the mac will come to you directly and you should receive it within the days quoted by ferret42. Which address did you email? It sounds as though the address isn't used by f2s anymore... the website can be used to log support requests (responses there have never been very good either though).

Re: MAC request
Hello kmount, I used cancel@f2s.net, I followed the instructions in the locked post above. For future reference, what would the correct address be?
Thank you for your reply. |

Re: MAC request
You're absolutely right with that address, it is still quoted on their site as being accurate.
Guess they don't want people to cancel

I've had this notice in my members ares for the last 6 months or so, I know BT can be a bit slow at times but this must be some sort of a record.
