No Connection
Hi,
Got home this evening to find I've no connection from about 6pm this evening (tuesday). No ip addy, no conection speeds, no nothing. As no one has been home since luchtime when it was working we've not changed anything this end. Has someone driven a tunnelling machine, some where where they shouldn't have?

PM sent. It fairly "widespread" as far as I am concerned. My 12 month contract is up shortly and F2S still have not fixed my IMAP problem in all that time. Longer actually. But thank you for your trouble. Dillon |

Antonio,
I did, indeed, receive a call from an engineer who told me I would be contacted this PM to sort out the problem. This did not happen. So, unless this is sorted by midday 25th June and after a number of years with F2S, I would formally ask you for a MAC. Although, this is technically before the end of my 12 month contract, F2S is in fundamental breach of contract for the umpteenth time. Thank you, Dillon |

F2S is in breach by not reliably providing the service it agreed to. Moreover, I am being put to expense in attempting to have this resolved. I suspect, if this were to go further, and I made an application for legal discovery, I would find many facts to support my position. I am sure this is something F2S would seek to avoid. Had this been the first time, I would probably be in a better mood but quite apart from having no connectivity at all, F2S has failed to address an IMAP problem for well over a year. I think it's indisputable F2S today is a mere shadow of its' former self. Can anyone suggest an alternative ISP that is reliable? Thanks, Dillon |

In all the years F2S has never failed to bill me properly :-) IMAP issue: During business hours it takes at least 40 seconds for me to be IMAP authenticated. That is username and password being processed before I am able to access my folders. This problem begins around 11AM and goes away around 4PM. The problem is not present weekends. This causes all sorts of other problems like being able to save a copy of a reply to a message to an IMAP folder. All user agents just give up waiting and the copy is lost. Let it be said I have quoted all of your posting. All I can say is one must read each word carefully. How does one know that F2S has been "reasonable"? We simply do not know. Frankly, it's a mystery :-) Moreover, whose word should we take on this? It may be that the recent frequent change of ownership has caused systemic problems. Lack of attention to detail and sloppy implementation. This sort of stuff will never see the light of day. Most of us do not possess the wherewithall to challenge.
