Why is webmail so sluggish and inconsistent?
I can't be the only F2Ser who has problems accessing webmail these days.
Symptoms: Takes an age for the login to login Quite often browser times out and I have to login again. deletion of messages also takes an age and sometimes times out. Symptoms vary between accounts - sometimes an account has no probs while another account times out on login This all happens from various machines at various locations. I could go on, but all I really want to know is whether or not I am on my own here. Cheers

IMP needs upgrading for a start, it's hopelessly out of date, it hasn't been updated since the first takeover 3 and a half years ago. Would never have happened under previous management

I have to agree with Justin. I don't have any big issues (she says whilst touching the proverbial wood) currently, as webmail and email seems to be working ok for me. How much longer it will last, as we all know, is anyone's guess. But happy is me right now.
Justin is right, prior to 3 or so years ago, things actually worked ticketyboo on F2s. |

Similar problems here. Below is a sample telnet session. The same occurs on all my IMAP accounts.
Interestingly or not, the problem is not present weekends or after around 4PM of a weekday. Did have a moan before XMAS about this to F2S and it was OK for a few weeks but now back to almost unusable. I have given up with F2S and it's just a matter of finding another outfit to subscribe to.
