Time to implement new email address

Because of the amount of spam that I am getting - mostly from my own current f2s email address - I have registered a new one via the f2s members website and in time I plan to delete my current f2s email address.

When I applied a message flashed up saying how long it took for the new address to become available for use but I clicked through without really looking at it.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes after requesting a new email address before I can start using it?

Might I suggest if you're looking to start using a new email address; don't for god sake use f2s!

There are plenty of more reliable providers out there, and you needn't even pay for them!

http://mail.google.com/ will set you up with a nice account with lots of storage etc and you can configure your email client to download the mail in the same way you do so now.

All this without any grief, and their spam controls are pretty spot on indeed!

I have 4 accounts through them (on various of my own domains) and they really are tip top.
