Anyone else having problems with this server? No inbound for the last hour or so.

None since 14:04 on the 6th November. Service status says OK, but I disagree as usual.

Thanks steveep, at least I know it's not just me.

Seems to be back to normal this morning. However, I sent 2 test messages during the 'outage' and have never received them, one from my F2S account and one from gmail account - it would appear that messages are being lost during these outages - it's happened before but what can I do about it? and how do I know if any important messages have been lost?

These are questions only F2S can answer - just letting off steam in the hope that F2s monitor these forums (which I'm sure they do).

My test emails have NOT yet arrived from this morning, but the urgent emails I was expecting from yesterday afternoon have just started to drift in.

Perhaps I should have asked the senders to use first class Royal Mail, it would have been quicker!!

My test message from the gmail account has just arrived - 13hrs after I sent it.

The message I sent from F2S account still hasn't arrived.

I've had continual problems for months now and am on the verge of dumping F2S.

Once upon a time, in the not so distant past, I could run my e-mail client and see my mail. Now, and for many months, IMAP access takes around 2 mins each and every time. Great fun. To cap it all, mail to me is either lost or delayed for so long it becomes redundant.

These problems, empirically, always appear to be worse during business hours. It's as though at 9AM of a Monday someone deliberately degrades my e-mail service and this continues until 5PM of a Friday.

Internet access is fine at all times.

I'm, frankly, bored with the silly responses/paliatives from F2S. They are either incompetent and should go out of business or liars or both. Strong language I know but take your pick.

At the very least they are "unfit for purpose" and/or in breach of contract.

Thoroughly miffed...

Some of us have already left f2s and are not using for any reason in particular

Only reason I check my address is that sometimes the odd important email gets through.

Outmail seems to be broken this morning. Is there any way of continuing to get access to your email account if you leave F2S as frankly that is the only thing that is stopping me from moving. I've been slowly changing my email address over to a hotmail account but there are so many people who use my F2S email address that it is a slow process.

Yes, it will live for a short period afterwards before being deleted.

Alternatively you could buy a domain or something through f2s as long as you have a billed service on your account they won't wipe your address.

Alternatively, find someone who is staying and ask them to add your email address in theirs!

I'm doing the same - I never send any emails out from f2s anymore, if I get any in I reply from a different address. But I have to keep it active as sometimes, just sometimes, I get the odd important email to it, as I used that address for years, but it's rare now as I have not sent an email from it for a lonnnggggg time.
