Cloudmark Anti Spam Software reviews please

Hi
Having got so fed up with F2S's inabilty to control spam, I have decided to give Cloudmark a trial. I have 15 days to use it for free.

My first observations.

Very easy to install.

It went through all my existing e-mails and pulled out spam that I didn't realise I had.

It puts a very nice toolbar onto Outlook Express that allows you to block spam or phish that escaped the Cloudmark check. It also allows you to click on unblock for any e-mails that are not spam or Phish.

It creates a spam folder where all spam ends up.

My first thoughts are very positive.

Anybody else got any comments about this software, especially people who are using it.

Thanks

Sounds like nobody uses it. WEll my findings are that it is 100% accurate on the filtering of spam & phish.

So why cant F2S do it?

I am using eudora which comes with a spamfilter of its own when you use the pro-version (used to use spamnix with it before that.)
Not a fan of outlook express ...

This maybe part of it...
Cloudmark Server Edition, 750 Users, 2-yr. Subscription, $15,199.00 USD
Just think how much the ISP version would be.

I gave Cloudmark Anti Spam Software a try after your posting and I was NOT impressed at all as it put an awful LOT of legitimate e-mails from friends into it's 'spam' folder yet totally ignored a few spam e-mails that I'd deliberately left in my inbox to test it! It has now been removed and gets a big thumbs down from me! I'm sticking with MailWasher Pro.

Thats strange, becuase it hasn't got anything wrong for me.

When I first set it up, I got it to run through all my e-mails and it pulled out soem of my friends as spam, becuase they had circulated quite a few people, but when I said that these people were OK, it is didn't treat them as spam.

I just use Thunderbird, which has it's own in-built Spam filter which learns as it goes along ..... I've only been using the filter for a couple of weeks, and it rarely gets it wrong ....

Mozilla Thunderbird is a full e-mail application, so you will have to choose to use it completely and ditch OE if you want to use it. It has import options.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

I use it, and it's very good, haven't had to use spam filters yet though, because I don't have that problem.

Firefox for browsing and Thunderbird for e-mail make a good combination.

OK I have downloaded moziilla and have it operating. Went very smoothly.

First attempt at geting mail resulted in 6 spam e-mails - clicked on Junk button then deleted them.

Now lets see what happens.

Any tips welcome.

The reason I gave a link to portable thunderbird is that he could have tested it out without disturbing much.
I use portable thunderbird & portable firefox and also some of the other portable apps just for convenience.
