2 out of 4 E-mail accounts not working

2 out of my 4 Outlook accounts are not working this morning. I keep getting prompted to enter the passwords for these accounts, which I've done, but no change.

I can get to these accounts via web mail OK and I've reset the passwords there. Then re-entered all the details in Outlook. No diffference.

All 4 accounts were working yesterday, so I'm guessing that this may have something to do with the problems yesterday.

The error code is 0x800ccc92. Microsoft support say this is due to a problem on the server and that it needs to have the latest service pack applied. I wonder if they've done that.

Is this affecting anyone else?

I, like many others in the silent majority, am getting a tad annoyed now with these constant problems. I know things can go wrong, but it's now almost a year since the sellout/takeover, so I would be expecting things to have settled by now. At least one part of F2S has always seemed to work OK and that's the part that takes the payment from my bank account each month !

0x800ccc92 means invalid password. It's probably some problem with their f2s authentication and nothing to do with microsoft service packs - very unlikely the f2s mail servers are microsoft anyways

Same here, it's almost worse than having no email at all.

I'd forgotten about this one.

I fixed the problem in the end by deleting the mailboxes which were not working from my members area, waiting 24 hours, then re-created the mailboxes using the same names as before, and then waiting another 24 hours for F2S to make them available. Set them up again in Outlook and they worked again.

The good thing is, it meant that people who would normally e-mail me on these mailboxes were able to continue to do so and I didn't have to let them know they had changed.

I think the problem was caused initially when the Mail server(s) threw one of their many wobblies. My mail been stable since though.
