UK ISP BT Top 6.14Million Broadband Customers and Expands Ultrafast Fibre Cover

BT has announced that it is now home to a total of 6,144,000 retail broadband ISP subscribers in the UK and has begun testing a new 1Gbps fibre optic (FTTP) service. The telecoms giant has also launched a new 'FTTP on Demand' service, which could in theory allow them to deploy ultrafast 330Mbps FTTP broadband services to almost anywhere that its slower FTTC goes.
