In the Beginning
Freedom2Support was first thought of in April 2002 by Justin Johnson realised that a support website for freedom2surf customers may be helpful for the internet providers user base. After having encouraging feedback on his idea from a number of freedom2surf customers, these plans were put into action, and a website development team was formed.
The name Freedom2Support was then decided to be used, after checking with freedom2surf that this name was okay and would not cause any confusion into thinking we were an official freedom2surf site, the domain was registered, and work on the site started to begin. with much of the content that makes up the backbone of the site today being developed.
After several weeks of hard work the website was finally launched on 17th May 2002, with a lot of promising feedback being received on opening day, and widespread appreciation for the work that had gone in to make Freedom2Support THE place to air views and receive help on freedom2surf products and services.
